REPENT (Part 1) | Sermon

REPENT (Part 1) | Sermon

This line the word God used for repent, it is because when Israelites were going God said, “I’ll take them in a different way lest the people shall regret on the way, and they shall return. The first time the word for repent is written in the Bible.  naw-Kham means to take a cold breath of sorry, taking a deep breath, to be sorry for the wrong work we did that we are regret of.

God also used this same word for Himself. When God said, Nineveh’s people have repented, now I repent
(naw-kham) of My plan of destruction. God repented and said, “Now I will not destroy them.”
Today I will speak about the word that we just read, John the Baptist said, “Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2)

Here the word repent means “met-an-o-eh’-o”
Compunction means to be in sorrowful for something.
Now John said, “have Compunction for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” he said, Now think differently for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!
